Megaron, known also as a Concert Hall, is a major cultural centre of the city of Athens which consists of a number of halls that can be used for a variety of purposes ranging from concerts to exhibitions or even educational courses.
Since 1991, when Megaron was officially opened, many facilities such as conference and multi-purpose venues, reception rooms, rehearsal rooms, exhibition spaces and a state-of-the-art three-level parking facility were added.
The area around the centre provides a valuable green space in the heart of Athens which can also be used for a variety of cultural events.
How to get there
Megaron, being located in the centre of the city, is highly sought venue. It is found at the corner of Vas. Sofias Avenue and Kokkali St.
You can easily get to Megaron by public transportation:
• By metro – Megaron is located two minutes from the Concert Hall Metro Station
• By bus - buses Ε14, Α5 and 550 stop right in front of the Concert Hall
• By electrically driven bus - buses 10 and 3 stop right in front of the Concert Hall
It is possible also to park at the Concert Hall which has a capacity for 750 cars. The entrance to the parking is on Kokkali St. and it is opened daily from 6am – 2am.
